Refracted Theatre Company presents A Play about David Mamet Writing a Play about Harvey Weinstein centers the fight against misogyny in institutions, by putting the American Theatre (and a long history of white, cis, male voices in it) under the microscope. Inside of that, the hairy questions of who is allowed to tell whose story, what accurate representation looks like when it comes to gender and race, and what the limitations are of revenge in being able to heal from oppression, are also explored.
