For those committed to experiencing art in its most authentic format, search for the two street locations of Horizon Line.
Horizon Line is a site-specific, public art installation hosted by Jude Gallery and curated by Francine Almeda and Kendall Hill to be displayed starting on April 11th.
Who and what are leaving traces in Chicago? What traces will you leave behind? What does being in this city mean or feel like right now? What feels particularly important, and why is it only possible because of the alchemy of where you are and the people around you?
These are the questions at the heart of Horizon Line. Work by 12 artists will be wheatpasted throughout the city as an outdoor, public exhibition. For only a short time these wheatpaste posters will appear at the corners of Chicago Ave & Hudson and Hyde Park Boulevard & Cornell.
Catch the posters in-person before they’re naturally eroded. If you’re lucky enough to find this ephemeral art experience, you’ll walk away with a sense of what it feels like to participate in Chicago's art scene right now.
