If you haven't been to the Art Institute, this is your chance! The Society for Contemporary Art is partnering with the museum for an artist lecture by Jacqueline Humphries, an abstract painter who applies paint in layers before scraping it away to reveal the evidence of her process.

Afterwards, head over to the Chicago Athletic Association on Michigan Avenue to visit the super-scenic Cindy’s Rooftop (12 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60603) to have a drink amongst the stars.
