PATRON Gallery is an unmissable stop on Chicago Avenue’s arts corridor. You won’t be disappointed by the gallery’s unique architecture, constructed inside an old theater with its glitzy facade still intact. PATRON is a contemporary art gallery in Chicago founded by Julia Fischbach and Emanuel Aguilar in 2015. With the goal of opening new avenues for audiences to engage with art. PATRON is founded on the defining characteristics of a patron of the arts: a person chosen, named or honored as a special guardian, protector or supporter.
From April 12th through the end of May, you can catch 2 amazing shows at Patron -- Mika Horbuchi’s solo exhibition, “Showcase,” and Kay Hoffman’s exhibition, “Being and Becoming.” Chicago Ave is bustling with restaurant options, all only a short distance away. All Together Now (2119 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622) is one of the best. With an excellent wine program and rotating dinner menu, it’s a West Town gem.
